DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs routine maintenance and repairs for warehouse.
Builds and repairs fixtures, structures and displays. Measures, cuts, affixes, shapes, sands, and paints various materials. Purchases supplies and parts for maintenance and repair jobs.
Repairs plumbing problems, installs and maintains plumbing fixtures. If licensed, repairs electrical systems, installs and replaces defective switches, wiring and fixtures.
Participates in janitorial duties. Follows departmental standards for cleanliness and performance of duties. Responds quickly to clean up spills. Cleans and maintains grounds and building, performs roof checks.
Checks daily schedule for assigned tasks, construction, maintenance and repair jobs.
Observe employees' performance and paperwork to determine that proper department procedures are followed. Provide trainng, encourgement, advice and feedback to Maintenance employees.
Follow proper Maintenance and general safety and security procedures, such as tagging power access when working on electrical equipment, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler, and merchandise disposal.
Liaise with Assistant Warehouse Manager in maintaining expense control on the warehouse facilities, equipment and day-to-day upkeep/maintenance.
Drives personal vehicle to purchase supplies and parts needed for projects.
Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and vendors.

Experience

Skilled Maintenance, Leadership, customer service, employee relations or comparable experience

Licenses and Certifications

Hazardous Materials Training - Module 1 (within 30 days).

Other Skills and Abilities

Good communcation, strong interpersonal, organization, problem solving and basic math skills

ABILITIES AND TALENTS RECOMMENDED FOR JOB SUCCESS

Education: High School Certificate or Higher

Experience: Customer Service Skills, Math skills, Trade Certifications

Computer Skills: Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
