About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Specialist to join our Hunter Class line of business based at Adelaide.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Reporting to the Training Lead, you will be responsible for contributing to training instruction and development activities, as directed in accordance with the relevant project procedures and work instructions to achieve project technical, schedule and cost goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for Project specific requirements
Develop project specific training material and ensure product meets all requirements, including safety and regulatory requirements
Conduct and deliver project specific training
Undertake all assigned training activities in accordance with the identified project directives and standards
Develop training related documentation in accordance with appropriate standards
Contribute to training team decisions, and understand why such decisions are made and their relationship to project success criteria
Assist in development of project infrastructure, such as tools deployment, metrics collection and process development
Facilitate face to face and online training
About YOU
Demonstrated training experience in a Technical Training discipline with current demonstrated experience in the development of adult learning environment (essential)
Degree or formal qualification in technical training, with a minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at the current release/ or equivalent industry experience – Desirable
Demonstrated experience of facilitating face to face and online training
Understanding of Support Policies and Standards
An understanding of the ADDIE lifecycle and Engineering Development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to contribute and work in a cross-functional team while ensuring specific responsibilities are achieved
Experience in a technical training position with accountability in a Defence environment (preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) (desirable)
Proficient writing skills (essential)
Experience in developing training courses (essential)
Experience participating in training design reviews, undertaking typical training design analyses and implementation of training solutions, its integration, validation and evaluation of training courses (desirable)
Awareness of Configuration and Change Management principles
Very good oral communication skills (essential)
Demonstrated ability to use MS Office products
Experience in a technical training position with accountability in a Defence environment
Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
