JOB DESCRIPTION
Downer are looking for an enthusiastic Safety Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract to actively support, coach, mentor and provide technical advice to internal stakeholders across our South Australian Asphalt Surfacing projects. Based out of Underdale this dynamic role will have a mixed exposure to site-based and office work with a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Safety objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Exposure within the Civil Road Maintenance, Construction, Heavy Industrial or Transport space will be highly regarded. You will also have:

Certificate 4 Work Health and Safety.
Two years experience as a Health and Safety Advisor.
Quality / Safety Lead Internal Auditor (desirable).
ICAM Lead Incident Investigation (desirable).
Experience conducting audits and preparation of corrective actions and reports.
Undertaken high level incident investigations.
Ability to positively influence change and communicate effectively with multiple types of stakeholders.
High level of problem solving with the ability to professionally navigate complex situations.
Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation.
Flexible with travel when required.
