The Opportunity
Ashurst's bold 2027 strategy involves significant investment in our Corporate Transactions teams across Australia. We are making significant progress and are looking to bolster our teams further with this new role to be based in Brisbane. In this role, you will be working closely with Ratha Nabanidham who leads our Brisbane practice on a wide range of complex and high-profile matters involving cross-border M&A, joint venture agreements, capital raisings, shareholder agreements, restructures, foreign investment and approvals corporate governance across various sectors including energy, mining and infrastructure.

This role provides an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, driven and committed mid level or senior practitioner with proven M&A experience who wants to work hard to progress and accelerate their career to join this growing practice.

About you

Minimum 5+ years' corporate transactional experience gained within a top-tier or mid-tier firm;
Excellent technical skills coupled with commercial nous;
Strong communication and client management skills;
A desire to interact with the market and is energetic about building client relationships;
Interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contribute to their development and growth;
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
