Your opportunity to join our team
We are looking for a hands-on, reliable, and motivated Maintenance Fitter (Afternoon Shift) to join our dedicated team. Based at our Feedmill, you’ll be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly through preventative and reactive maintenance.

Working hours: 1:30pm to 10:00pm (Afternoon Shift)

Key responsibilities and main tasks for this role include:

Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment within the feedmill to ensure optimal functionality.

Identifying and diagnosing mechanical issues, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.

Collaborating with the maintenance team to carry out preventative maintenance schedules and inspections in adherence to safety and quality standards.

Assisting in the installation of new equipment, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.

Participating in continuous improvement initiatives by providing input on process enhancements and efficiency gains.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

Trade Qualification as Fitter

Clear understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment

Strong technical skills, including proficiency in mechanical systems and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to workplace safety

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Reliability and punctuality

Availability to work occasional weekend hours as required
