Assistant Merchandise Planner | KEW | Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for an Assistant Merchandise Planner to join our Apparel Group to work in the Retail team! This is a fixed term contract position for 12 months
As an Assistant Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for maximizing the achievement of sales, profit, and inventory targets for retail through effective planning, quantification, analysis, and proactive management of financials, Open to Buy and stock allocation.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting Planner to analyse department, class, sub-class, and product performance to identify trends and take proactive action.
Assist in Basics forecasting- align forecast with the sales targets and the marketing calendar.
Manage stock holdings to minimise inefficient stocks. Ensure store and online performance is optimised through accurate stock levels and regular stock deliveries.
Monitor and analyse size performance. Work with the Allocator on stock levels to ensure stock is maximised for product selling.
Assist with post season review and performance analysis.
Support Planner with preparation of reports to show performance against KPI’s and business rules.
What experience do I have:
Tertiary qualifications in business / marketing / retail.
Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the financial parameters and targets of the department.
Strong problem-solving ability
Strong Analytical Skillset
Computer literacy in MS Office- Excel experience essential
