About Project

The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.

We’re looking for an SPE with structures experience to look after the construction of 8-12 buildings concurrently.

The Role

As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
Lead client/contractor meetings especially in the PM's absence
Identification and assessment of risk to the project as well as implementation of strategies to mitigate risk
Use your technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities
Assist in development and implementation of the master program and maintain mid- long-term look ahead's
Contracts & commercial responsibilities on the project
Cost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planning
Lead, develop and manage large project teams on the ground
Build effective and & collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors
Maintaining quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project
Work across various structural packages not limited to including panel, in-situ, structural steel and portal frames.
Required Skills and Competencies

Skills & Experience Required

You will have a degree in civil/structural/mechanical engineering or similar
You will have extensive experience on site working on a range of structural packages including panel, in-situ, structural steel and portal frames.
You will be able to manage, and develop the master program as well as display a high level of competency around contracts, cost forecasting, & management of a large team of engineers
Well-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and client representatives
