Customer Service Officer Nelson City Council location Tasman.
2 x permanent roles (32 & 40 hours p/w). Work-life balance + lifestyle +Health Insurance. Fun and friendly team culture. This is a hugely varied role. Council provides a wide range of services to our community, and customer service officers help with first point of contact support for them all.
About this role working as part of a highly dedicated team, you will provide the right advice and information to our customers. You will communicate with our community, verbally and in writing (via email). Your work day will be busy and you need to respond to changing information. Our team loves Nelson, and we provide a friendly, inclusive and professional service to the people that live here, and come to us from elsewhere.
As we have two roles available, the hours will be role 1: 32 hours per week (Mon/Wed/Fri 8am –5pm and Tue/Thurs 10am –2pm). Our busiest time of year is June to September so you will be offered to work full-time over this period each year. Additionally, you may be offered extra hours throughout the year to help cover sickness and leave. Role 2: 40 hours per week (Monday –Friday 8am – 5pm).
About you, your excellent communication skills combined with your customer service and cash handling experience, ability to work as part of a team and confidence to navigate around a variety of computer systems, are what will make your application stand out from your peers.
A customer service or other tertiary qualification is advantageous, but not essential.
