People and Culture- Business Partner MIT location Auckland.

Purpose working across Tāmaki Makaurau, our People and Culture Business Partners are integral to building relationships and coaching managers and leaders to provide high quality service that supports the success of education outcomes for our communities. In this varied role our PCW communities of practice collaborate to contribute to the design and development of frameworks, policies, and standards.

The People and Culture Business Partner will report to the People and Culture Manager and be responsible for partnering with our People Leaders, providing guidance on people related processes and employment relations advice ensuring a values-based ethos.

Raising capability through coaching, mentoring and providing high quality and consistent advice in relation to best practice. Delivering people, culture and wellbeing strategy initiatives and workplan deliverables aligned with our priorities, plans and policies, and identifying insights that enable learning and continuous improvement.

Demonstrating commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity, supporting our leaders to grow a culturally responsive and inclusive workforce, and advocating interests and aspirations for Te Pūkenga priority groups.

To be successful in the role you will be an experienced people and culture expert with significant knowledge and experience. Be able to coach and upskill others. Bring excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to partner with others through relationship building and influencing across a diverse range of stakeholders.

Having previous involvement in developing PCW frameworks, policies, standards and implementing these within the organisation; and a sound understanding of the vocational education sector is an added advantage.
