At George Weston Foods – Baking Division NZ our purpose is “Everyday Moments of Goodness.” Our iconic Kiwi brands such as Tip Top Bread, Golden Bakery, Ploughman’s Bakery, Burgen, Big Ben Pies and Dad’s Pies are part of everyday Kiwi lives, delighting our customers and consumers.
We have a number of 7-month fixed term roles till the end of August 2025. We are looking for individuals who are flexible, motivated and have initiative to work within the Tip Top Bun & Roll Production team when the individual departments have gaps created by people on leave or training.
In order to be able to work across all of the Tip Top Pie Department, you must meet the below requirements to be considered be able to frequently lift 25kgs throughout your shift. Lift overhead height. Comfortable working in a hot environment. There is a health and safety requirement to wear a full respirator mask for the full shift due to the flour dust – for an effective seal you will need to be clean shaven. Minimum 1-2 years baking or manufacturing experience is required.
Due to the nature of these roles, there will be requirement to be flexible around shift start and finish times (up to 2 hours either side of the shift timings), to cover any short term or long-term gaps created by people on leave, training or other business needs. The shift times that we are recruiting for are Monday to Friday from 1.15am to 9.45am. Sunday to Thursday from 5.15pm to 1.45am. Monday to Friday from 7.15pm to 3.45am.

Please note we operate 7 days per week across the site, and there may be opportunities for overtime. We are only closed on Christmas Day and Easter Friday – all other public holidays are worked as a normal day.
