About us the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is, a medical college that is the post-graduate training organisation for doctors wanting to specialise in general practice and rural hospital medicine, and a membership organisation. Our 80+ operational staff support our College members with an aim to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities.
About the role we are looking for an enthusiastic and customer service-oriented ICT Support Administrator to join our team on a fixed term basis for approximately 6-months to cover Parental Leave.
As the ICT Support Administrator, you will provide administration and IT support for key applications, systems and hardware that enable the College to operate efficiently and effectively. You will provide level one and two support for our core applications and provide backup for the other members of the ICT team. As part of the ICT team, you will also facilitate training sessions for staff. This is a full-time, 6-month fixed term position based primarily on site in the Wellington CBD office.
Key responsibilities include assist in routing helpdesk traffic and provide level one and level two support to College staff for core College applications. Train to be able to provide level two support to staff for core College applications. Work with the ICT Manager to create ICT system and associated process and procedural training documentation and/or curated content in LinkedIn Learning.
Facilitate regular introductory and refresher ICT training sessions. As a member of the ICT team, champion team training documentation in a central knowledge base. Provide support to the ICT Manager as required for a wide range of project and BAU activities. Participate in system and user testing as required.
Help set up and configure ongoing staff security awareness training and testing using the College’s security training software. Support the ICT Team by providing level one coverage for the IT Support Engineer, Systems Analyst and LMS/DMS Support Administrator. Build and maintain effective, professional, and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & experience keen interest in ICT and previous ICT education or experience. Customer service-oriented approach with a positive attitude. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with non-technical business users. Ability to create engaging training material at an appropriate level for users.
Good working knowledge of using and administrating the Microsoft Office Suite. Highly self-motivated, and ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Willingness to learn new things and ask questions. Exceptional time management, planning and organisational skills.
