University Functions Caterers (located on the UWA Campus, Crawley) is seeking a motivated Functions Coordinator to provide assistance in the delivery of high-quality functions both on and off Campus. Reporting to the Associate Director, Commercial, this position is being offered as a permanent full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

The role of Functions Coordinator would suit a candidate who takes pride in their work, enjoys meeting new people and thrives in a busy work environment. Duties include but are not limited to administration associated with functions, including bookings, reporting and client liaison. Drive the Functions business by increasing external engagement.

Provide cover for Tavern Manager when required. Set up and pack down of food and beverages for functions. Supervise casual staff. Deliver functions to a high standard. Act as Approved Manager when required.

The successful candidate would possess the following approved Manager Card (essential). Business development experience (desirable). Strong administration skills including attention to detail. Flexibility to work daytime and some evening/weekend shifts. Client focused.

Background in hospitality, especially in delivering functions. Outstanding organisational and time management skills are a must. C Class driver’s license. Ability to work autonomously when required. Excellent interpersonal skills. The role would be ideal for a candidate who wants to progress their career in Functions.
