The winery has established itself as one of the country's most prominent wine producers and export their premium quality sustainable wines to over 65 countries including North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The role reporting to the CFO, this role has two key areas of focus. Firstly, to provide commercial decision-making support to the CEO, Leadership Team and commercial partners of the business. Secondly, to own key financial planning and analysis processes, to ensure timely and accurate business plans and forecasts, along with providing insightful performance reporting, to maximise business profitability and free cash flow.
Key responsibilities partner with key stakeholders, including the CEO, Sales and Marketing teams to drive customer & brand profitability. Oversight of customer and brand volume & margin. Report on pricing and volume variances to forecasts to generate insights that support the sales leads to maximise EBITDA and brand equity for future growth.
Plan and execute the month-end performance reporting process for the total business. This includes ensuring timely and accurate information, leveraging both external and internal data to provide high quality insights that drive business improvement. Plan and execute the annual business planning cycle, including 3-5 year strategic planning, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasting.
With the support of the wider finance team, create robust financial planning models which allow scenario analysis to determine best strategic and tactical choices for the business. Lead a continuous improvement approach to key processes, finding opportunities to streamline and automate to reduce manual effort and time to complete processes.
Skills & experience you will ideally be a fully qualified Accountant who trained in large professional services firm with a diverse set of skills across financial planning and analysis. It's essential that you have gained exposure to the commercial sector in a fast paced and complex organisation, with a background ideally in FMCG, Retail or similar highly advantageous.
You will have a strong business sense ensuring you communicate effectively with stakeholders, and naturally look for ways to create efficiency in your work.
