Opportunity Suites/Apartments Management Team (2) in Apollo Bay, Victoria. If you are ready to embrace a fulfilling work-life balance in a stunning coastal town, we are seeking a dynamic and professional management duo to commit to overseeing a beautifully maintained, relatively easy-to-run property in magnificent Apollo Bay, Victoria.
While built in more recent times, all 21 units have been fully refurbished and upgraded between 2022-2024, this property offers a unique blend of modern amenities and coastal charm. As there is no restaurant on-site and several popular restaurants are within a 3 minute walk, the focus of this business is wholly focused on providing excellence in accommodation and of course, personal service.
About the position location Apollo Bay, Victoria. Accommodation On-site, self-contained 3-bedroom apartment provided.
Key responsibilities front Office Management While covering all front office duties, strategically manage the Management System (RMS), driving reservations, guests’ check-ins and check-outs, and customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor and supervision of cleaning staff.
Maintenance Ensure the property remains in excellent condition, addressing any repairs and/or upkeep and easy gardening as needed. Quality ‘handyman skills’ appreciated with qualified trades engaged when necessary. Marketing Design, develop, and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.
Financial Control Manage budgets, derive financial reports from RMS, and ensure cost-effective operations. Constant monitoring of status of the business relevant to KPI’s and historical achievements. Housekeeping Engage staff and supervise cleaning activities to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Co-working with staff to train and otherwise when required.
Staff Management Engage, lead, and coordinate a small team of staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Office times Currently only 9.30 am to 6.00 pm x 7 days but with a vision to expand these marginally as business develops. Coded key box for rare after-hours arrivals.
Proficiency and Professionalism Demonstration of excellence and passion in all aspects of the business, continuously striving for perfection and demonstrating a generous spirit to guests, staff and owners. Communication and Teamwork with Owners Communicate clearly and honestly with your employer on all aspects of the business and engage positively and regularly with them to achieve shared goals.
Adaptability Manage varying workloads, from easy-going, to at times, flat out, with ease and continuing enthusiasm. Maintaining and Building the Business We have an expectation that the successful applicants will have an attitude commensurate with not only achieving the current level of business but in addition, always seeking further ways to enhance it and go that extra mile whenever opportunity arises.
Ideal Candidates' skills experience Proven, successful management and front-line operational experience in hospitality accommodation property management. Hands-on While the opportunity is described as “Management”, generally the business is run through the front office by the management duo. 3 or 4 casual staff are employed for cleaning duties.
The property operates with RMS. In depth experience with RMS and/or similar required. Marketing Experience and ingenuity to dynamically market the business through RMS (or similar), website and direct communications. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. All essential
