About the role we are seeking a dedicated Larder Hand to support Arts Centre Melbourne’s outlets with a high standard of preparation and food and beverage service.
Some of your responsibilities will include working with the Culinary team to produce innovative products, reflective of the season and Victorian produce. Ensuring all food safety procedures are followed and relevant paperwork is completed. Complete food safety audits as directed by the Sous Chef.
Helping with the management of cost of goods through careful management of waste and effective stock rotation. Casual position. Band 1.0.01 $24.10 per hour + 25% casual loading.
To be successful in this position, you will have a relevant Tertiary/TAFE Cookery Qualifications. Experience in a similar role within a dynamic environment. The ability to adapt to a changing and high paced environment. An understanding of food safety. The ability to work collaborative in the team environment.
About the team the Kitchen Brigade is responsible for the food delivery within Arts Centre Melbourne which contributes as a major driver of revenue. The kitchen delivers a culinary experience on a multi-platform stage, catering for the culinary novice, the theatre going-crowds, world stage performers and a vast array of local and international dignitaries.
