About the client Our client a well-established company within the travel industry which is currently expanding their operations. As they continue to grow, our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant who is passionate about the travel industry to join their finance team. This travel-focused role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their financial operations.

Role Overview The Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including reconciliations, managing receivables and payments, and overseeing credit control. This position requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities perform regular bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking, and follow-up on outstanding payments. Process and manage payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Oversee credit control processes to minimise risk and maintain healthy cash flow. Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve accounting processes.

Core competencies strong experience in reconciliations, accounts receivable, payments, and credit control. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to analyse financial data and generate accurate reports. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications previous experience in a similar role ~2 years of experience. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
