IT Desktop Support Analyst Parris Mills location Auckland. $65,000 – $80,000 per year.

The business with its New Zealand Head Office in East Tamaki this multi-national organisation is involved in the manufacture and distribution of steel and other products used in the building and construction industries. Supporting 45 sites and a largely decentralised organisation structure, the role of information systems is vital.

The role as the first point of contact, you will provide support by troubleshooting a range of first and second-level technical issues.  Servicing the wider organisation, you are part of not only your immediate team but a face of the IT team across the entire business.

Provide first and second level support such as desktop and application support, peripheral support, problem identification and escalation, email and internet services, print and mobile device services, network and file sharing support, remote access services and user access support. In person walk ups from internal staff requiring hardware and software assistance.

Provide onsite support to our Auckland branches (full drivers licence required). Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements. Collaborate with vendors for warranty support and hardware-related issues.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations. Work closely with other IT support levels, system administrators, and IT management to ensure a cohesive and efficient IT environment.

The benefits salary range of $65k to $80k, dependent on skills and experience, Laptop, Free onsite parking, Large multi-national organisation with multiple branches throughout New Zealand.

Skills and experience requirements at least two years of experience in an IT support or a related role an awareness of IT related technologies and their practical applications in supporting business requirements. Previous customer service experience, preferably in a service desk environment.

Good knowledge of the Windows Desktop and Office Stack (Windows 11 and Windows 10). Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues. Excellent communication. This role is key to how the organisation’s users feel supported by the groups IS team.

You will need to be able to work autonomously on your own projects, effectively and accurately while using your strong communication, sense of humour and relationship skills to fit into a friendly team and working environment.
