Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Health and Safety Administrator to join their team. Assisting the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe working environment, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in the health and safety field.
Key responsibilities administrative Support Organize health and safety documentation, including incident reports and training records. Data Entry Accurately input health and safety data into relevant systems.
Compliance Monitoring Assist in monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies. Incident Reporting Help document workplace incidents and near-misses. Training Coordination Support scheduling health and safety training sessions for employees. Health and Safety Audits Participate in internal audits and inspections.
Communication Distribute health and safety notices to staff. Resource Management Maintain health and safety supplies and equipment. Meeting Support Assist in organizing health and safety committee meetings, including minute-taking. General Support Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager and team as needed.
Qualifications and skills education high school diploma or equivalent; relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety preferred. Experience previous administrative experience, preferably in a health and safety context. Knowledge basic understanding of health and safety principles in New Zealand.
Skills strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Personal attributes commitment to health and safety. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
