Accounts Officer Telethon Kids Institute location Perth.
The opportunity our dedicated finance team consists of Finance Business Partners, Project Accountants and Accounts Officers who collectively provide professional and operational finance support to a range of different teams across the Telethon Kids Institute.
We have an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic Accounts Officer with previous transactional finance experience to further their career within Accounting & Finance. With a positive, fun and experienced team to support you, no two days will be the same in this busy yet rewarding role. Your key duties will be focussed on accounts payable, however, at times you will be exposed to other transactional accounts functions including accounts receivable.
Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, you will be responsible for processing and payment of supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, honorarium payments, and participant payments, with a focus on accurate data entry, matching of invoices and reconciliation of creditor statements.
No two days will be the same in this varied role but typically your day-to-day tasks will include perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system ensuring valid invoices are issued by creditors. Ensuring all invoices are matched to an appropriately authorised and coded purchase order.
Coordinate and process creditor payments. Arranging and processing of foreign currency payments as required. Conveniently based at Perth Children’s Hospital, this office-based role will be offered on a full-time basis. Part time may be considered for the right candidate.
About you the successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a previous transactional finance position and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a multi-disciplinary team. You will have a keen interest in accounts & finance, taking pride in your work.
Additionally, the key to your success will be your skills in the following high levels of customer service across a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience with use of major software packages including Microsoft Business Central, and/or an ability to learn new systems and processes. Attention to detail, accurate data entry skills, and an ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation. Demonstrated experience at working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
