Part-Time Medical Receptionist Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre location Otago. $26 – $30 per hour.
About Us Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre provides daytime and after-hours medical and accident care for the Dunedin community and visitors to the city. We have x-ray services on-site and provide immigration medicals by appointment.
We interact with a wide range of people and take pride in supporting the health needs of those who use our services. We are centrally located and operate 365 days a year from 8.00am to 10.00pm.
Experience and Key attributes we are looking for two outstanding part-time receptionists to join our front desk team at Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre (DUDAC). This position will suit a friendly, compassionate, and efficient person who enjoys the challenge of working in a busy team where every day is different.
Key to this role is an ability to deliver first-class, front-line reception and administration services, ensuring the smooth running of the front-of-house operations. Ours is a busy and dynamic working environment. The ability to multi-task is crucial, as is the ability to maintain professionalism and a good sense of humour under pressure.
Tasks and responsibilities frontline reception and administration services, greet and register patients and visitors. Answer queries, record patient information, receive payments, monitor waiting room. Administration, bookings, document and data management. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral.
A professional personal presentation. The ability to deal with people of all ages and backgrounds in a respectful, calm and caring manner. Knowledge in medical or healthcare reception/administration is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Suite (word, excel, outlook) is essential. Professionalism in all admin and reception duties. Excellent organisation skills and multi-tasking. Meticulous attention to detail. Punctuality and good time management. Work collegially with other staff to provide professional service and patient care.
Benefits penal rates apply for evening and weekend shifts under the PHC Multi Employer Collective Agreement. Hours we operate on a fortnightly roster and you will have set shifts. These roles are for approximately 20-25 hours per week and will include at least one weekend shift. Applicants must be able to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays, and provide additional casual support to cover periods of staff leave.
Position one - Morning Shifts Week One Mon 8am - 12pm, Tues 8am - 12pm, Wed 8am - 2pm, Thurs 8am - 2pm, Saturday 8am - 1pm.
Week Two Mon 8am - 12pm, Tues 8am - 2pm, Wed 8am - 2pm, Thurs 8am - 2pm, Friday 8am - 2pm.
Position two - Afternoon shifts Week One Tues 2-6pm, Wed 2-6pm, Thurs 2-6pm, Friday 2-6pm, Saturday 1-6pm.
Week Two Wed 2-6pm, Friday 2-6pm, Sunday 1-6pm.
