Our opportunnity reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you'll be part of a team of 3 processing end to end Payroll for over 1500 employees, ensuring optimal service delivery of the payroll and related HR services, risk management is achieved, and strong relationships are developed with employees and people leaders across Mercury.

Key accountabilities include process and maintain fortnightly pay run of 1500+ employees. Provide superb customer service to our internal and external stakeholders. Proactively evaluate processes to improve and streamline with a view to enable greater data integrity and a simple employee experience.
We are looking for at least two years' experience of processing payroll for a large organisation. Demonstrate an understanding of the Holidays Act and New Zealand employment law. Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.
A strong working knowledge of the PayGlobal payroll technology is an advantage. Strong customer service skills supported by the ability to communicate with all levels of staff professionally and clearly using appropriate mediums. An inquiring mind and initiative to resolve problems. Applies knowledge of payroll applications, processes, and legislation to complete payroll requirements and delivery. Great communication skills, demonstrates customer service and works with a growth mindset.
