Clinical Administrator Hospice Mid-Northland location Northland.
Hospice Mid-Northland are seeking a Clinical Administrator to support the team in the effective delivery of clinical services at both Hospice Mid-Northland and Far North Community Hospice for our Clinical team.
Hospice Mid-Northland provides specialist palliative care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, free of charge, to anyone in the Mid-Northland community suffering from a life limiting illness. Hospice Mid-Northland and Far North community Hospice covers the area from Hukerenui in the South to Cape Reinga in the North and coast to coast in between, serving a population of over 70,000 people.
Key purpose of the role to provide excellent customer service to HMN and FNCH service delivery teams, patients and whānau and ensure that the Services Administration processes and procedures are running as effectively and efficiently as possible. To provide ongoing development, improvement, and enhancement of systems and processes as appropriate; to improve the service delivered to patients, whānau and friends and health care professionals.
Work alongside our external IT support provider, ensure the community teams are competent users of our programs and systems, e.g. phones and laptops, and all systems are in place for these teams for a smooth service delivery. To communicate regularly with both clinical and operational staff ensuring all operational needs are met for the Community Services teams.
Required skills compassion, kindness, and a desire to serve our community. Experience in the health sector preferred. Highly developed time management skills and an ability to prioritise competing tasks. High computer literacy and proficient in the Microsoft office suites.
Well-versed in departmental procedures and policies and the ability to actively discover new ways to do the job more efficiently. Detail orientated with thorough and accurate data processing skills. Sound communication (oral and written), interpersonal and liaison skills and the ability to provide a professional approach in dealing with staff and other stakeholders.
Remains updated on technical and professional knowledge by self-training, seeking updates and attending educational workshops as appropriate. High level of confidentiality and discretion is required due to the confidential nature of service delivery. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
