We are looking for a Software Developer to join this high performing team. You will, as part of a collaborative team, develop business software applications, maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices, habits and using the right design patterns. With a focus on performance, security and maintainable code.

Key responsibilities include design and implementation of new software solutions and improving our current software application. Securing applications by establishing and enforcing solid frameworks, and defining and monitoring access. Ensure alignment with the IT and Digital and Architectural Principles.

Ensure compliance with defined coding standards. Be available for support after hours as and when needed should the need arise for support or projects. Ensure good application monitoring. Comfortable implementing unit/performance/integration Testing. Comply with best practise design patterns.

Continuous Integration and continuous delivery. Setup and maintain Software Development Life Cycle. Demonstrate and encourage employee engagement, awareness and responsibility for Health & Safety, compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience required experience developing mobile apps for iOS and Android. Ability to support current technology sets, including React Native (iOS and Android), Node.js, JavaScript, Azure functions, Azure APIM, Azure cosmos DB (mongo api), Python, and C# .NET. Solid understanding of Security and Performance Risk in relation to development.

Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, C++, and frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Django is a plus. A good understanding of ITIL and NIST Framework, and experience developing GIS systems is preferred.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to establish excellent working relationships with people at all levels. Agile, highly flexible, customer focused, multitasker with excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines. Experience in cost control, risk management and quality control. Affinity with IT and Digital aka Technology.
