Medical Secretary/Receptionist required for a small psychiatrist practice at Wesley Medical Centre, Auchenflower, Brisbane.

The practice is located near Auchenflower train station and within walking distance of a bus stop. A free car park is available, if needed. We are seeking a Medical Secretary/Receptionist for 3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Flexibility is required as per the needs of the practice. The position offered will initially be casual, with the possibility of moving to permanent in the future. The casual hourly rate will be from $30 to $35, depending on experience. The position is available for commencement on 2 August 2023.

Essential Experience working within a medical setting (private practice specialist preferred). Sound knowledge of medical billing including Medicare, DVA, WorkCover & private health funds (inpatient/outpatient). Experience with Eftpos.

Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative. Experience using medical billing and booking software programs (Evolution software advantageous). Excellent people skills - the ability to quickly build a strong rapport with patients and other medical professionals.
