We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Waikato Operations Manager who is a self-motivated leader to join our team in Hamilton.

The opportunity reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Waikato branch and region. You will ensure that all aspects of the operations, from maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction to daily sustaining operational standards, are met while liaising with corporate stakeholders.

The key accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following generate and monitor KPIs, analysing their performance and comparing against set targets and budget. Maintaining exceptional health and safety, security, and compliance standards. Ensure all processes, systems, and policies are understood and followed by your team.

Ability to Foster a strong team culture. Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget. Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results. Sets direction and strategies with a focus on continuous improvement within the department to develop a successful performance platform. This is an immediate start salaried permanent position working from Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.

What we are looking for as an effective Manager, you will enjoy leading and developing a team. You will have proven experience in driving continuous improvement in H&S compliance and operational KPIs. This appointment is a key position within the DX Management team. The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge with a background in operations, customer focus and people management experience.

Key attributes include strong leadership skills. P & L and financial literacy. Quality focus – measure and achieve KPI’s targets. Fleet management. Health and Safety knowledge. Ability to work in a team environment to engage and motivate team members.

Strong communicator with effective written and oral communication skills to persuade, influence, negotiate and present to various stakeholders. Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A 'can do' attitude and motivation to deliver outstanding service. Someone who desires to grow and is an out-of-the-box thinker. Organisational and delegation skills.
