We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic individual that is highly motivated by a passionate interest in sport, recreation and leisure to join one of Sydney’s largest Councils as part of the Customer Experience and Recreation Unit.

This role is part of the Recreation Team and contributes to establishing Canterbury-Bankstown as a place with a diverse range of leisure and recreation opportunities to enhance the quality of life for residents, workers and visitors.

A key area is the provision of an efficient and effective range of recreation (leisure, sport and culture) programs and services through research to identify community needs.

This role assists with the management and delivery of the Active Canterbury-Bankstown Program, including the implementation of an annual program of events and activities to support this strategy, as well as any outcomes from Council's Health and Recreation Strategy.

Essential Qualifications & experience working with Children Check (WWCC). Drivers License. High School Certificate or Equivalent. Experience in a customer service role and demonstrated commitment to provision of high level customer service.

An understanding of sporting, recreation and community organisations and facilities. Demonstrated computer skills in Outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel. Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required.
