About the role this position is responsible for processing admissions, transfers and discharges for expectant mothers and newborns within the Women & Babies Delivery Ward and associated services. The position is responsible for the accurate financial elections for obstetric patients and their elective admission into Royal Prince Alfred Hospital on the eMR system.
The role also supports in providing 24 hour coverage at the Labour Ward reception counter. The position reports to the Clerical Manager, Women and Babies RPA Hospital. We are looking for someone who demonstrates experience with providing phone and face-to-face customer service in a high volume client based setting.
Has experience working under minimal to no direct supervision and meeting tight deadlines, and flexibility in managing con-current duties on a daily basis ensuring that client needs are given priority. Has previous experience or strong willingness to learn Health Insurance usage and benefits in a public health environment.
