About the department the department of communities and justice (dcj) was formed in 2019 with the merger of two former departments family and community services (facs) and justice. About multicultural nsw multicultural nsw exists to build and maintain a cohesive and harmonious multicultural society that enriches the lives of all people in nsw.

About the opportunity/role the primary purpose of the role is to provide administrative support and office services to the community and policy division, as advised by the director, to enable it to operate efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to provide administrative support to the director including diary management and report preparation. Perform a wide range of clerical and administrative activities, to deliver efficient services to the division.

Compile and distribute reports and other official submissions for the information of the executive and or other external stakeholders. Establish and maintain a register of divisional events on a calendar to support planning and development of the events. Maintain a range of multicultural nsw and divisional manuals and registers to provide staff with accurate, up to date information and guidance.

Provide services and support to other divisions in periods of staff absence and/or in peak periods. Participate in administrators forum led by ea to the ceo, as a member of multicultural nsw administration assistants team.

Essential requirements extensive experience in providing administrative support. Experience in arranging meetings, diary management and scheduling identified matters for follow up. National criminal history record check.

This recruitment will also create a talent pool to fill future ongoing and temporary full-time vacancies (over the next 18 months) if and when they arise in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
