Michael Holmes Premium Eyewear is a multiple award winning, New Zealand owned business, celebrating 20 years of successful business.  We offer outstanding eye care and stunning fashion eyewear solutions to the higher end of the market.

We're fortunate to have more work than we can cope with and need to expand our team.  We're looking for a fun, energetic experienced optical assistant or an experienced customer service person, someone willing to be an all rounder, able to slot in and do what's needed to ensure all of our customers have an amazing experience. You don't need to have optical experience but the position is also open to applicants with dispensing experience and a passion for eyewear and optical styling.

The position involves amongst other duties frame styling/dispensing lenses, administration, reception, general customer service/sales, store presentation. Our store, based in teed st, newmarket, is a beautifully designed retail environment and our established team of 8 others are friendly and supportive. We're a family owned n.z business, proudly taking good care of our loyal employees.

Direct optical experience isn't required as full training will be given but a comprehensive background in customer service, administration, sales or healthcare is important, alongside a desire to learn and a willingness to apply high standards.

Outstanding written and verbal communication is a “must” and you will need to have pristine personal presentation and an interest in design and fashion. A competitive salary will be negotiated depending on relevant experience. Hours are full time (or you can choose 4 days per week) but do include Saturdays.  We close Sundays.
