Operations Manager Thorndon Eye Clinic location Wellington.

Thorndon Eye Clinic is a provider of eye surgery and ophthalmic care. There are currently four eye doctors working with Thorndon Eye Clinic providing a range of eye specialist services.  The Clinic also has one optometrist, five nurses, five ophthalmic assistants, and eight administrators. The main clinic is situated at 230 Thorndon Quay, Wellington and the office is normally open from 7.30am until 5.30 pm Monday to Friday however the hours of operation can be variable and we have outreach clinics based in the greater Wellington area. The clinics are very busy work environments with a strong team-based approach.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a well established successful ophthalmology practice. This is a full time role covering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, managing the day to day operations and administrative functions of our incredibly busy Wellington clinic.

This is a busy leadership position overseeing all operational aspects of running a successful practice focusing on team culture and the highest quality care for our patients. This role will have support from the General Manager to ensure the successful running of the practice and continued growth and success.

Our ideal candidate has proven leadership skills and can manage teams with empathy and pragmatism has previous experience managing an office or medical practice particularly within a medium to large team. Is adaptable and thinks on their feet to adjust to changing priorities who is solution-orientated and resourceful.Takes pride in customer service, high quality patient care and building positive relationships has highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with dealing with both operational and administrative aspects of an office or practice is essential to be eligible for this role you must be currently fully vaccinated or be prepared to be vaccinated prior to starting us.  You will be required to provide proof.  This is in accordance to the Government’s Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order and our Immunisation Policy.
