My family is looking for a carer for our mother, Ann. Immediate start. She is a lovely loving lady, who has the early stages of dementia and is visually impaired. She is otherwise pretty healthy, and enjoys being active. My father, who is also elderly but in good health, is also there. He is very active, and needs little care, (aside from the odd letter being typed up!) and meal preparation. Some odd jobs, to include Ann, may be required. They live on a large lifestyle block, in a large family home.

The role includes Shopping for groceries, Preparation of meals, House keeping, Gardening, Activities for entertainment of Ann. You will have the use of a car during work hours, and accomodation in a seperate self contained unit to the rear of the house. It is preferred that the candidate lives on site. The work hours are from 11am - 7pm Monday to Friday.

The main thing for this role is that you are positive, upbeat, and engaging for Ann. You will also need a clean drivers license and legal record. Previous experience in dementia care and basic computer literacy would be an advantage.
