The Royal Hospital for Women is situated between the University of New South Wales and Coogee Beach.

Where you'll be working Postnatal Services are located on level 3 Royal Hospital for Women. This service provides postnatal care and education to women and their families both as an inpatient and within the community. There are 2 Postnatal Units located on Level 3 – Paddington on the South Wing and Oxford on the North Wing.

The Midwifery Support Program offers postnatal care to Women in their homes and midwifery staff will have the opportunity to orientate to this model of care and are given the opportunity to rotate from inpatient 12 hour shifts on a rotating roster to community rosters working 8 hour morning shifts. The Breastfeeding Support Unit, Lactation Services and Social Work Department are co-located on Level 3 and make up part of the Multidisciplinary Team for this Service.

The Administrative Officer is responsible for the provision of reception and clerical services to the Postnatal Wards including the Midwifery Support Program (MSP) after hours.

This is a part time position 20 hours per week, working an evening shift 4 days a week and Saturday morning, working across the postnatal service. Selection criteria demonstrated experience in reception and administrative tasks with customer focused approach to service delivery. Proven effective communication and liaison skills. Demonstrated ability to learn and use computer systems and databases. Proven effective interpersonal skills. An understanding of and commitment to patient information confidentiality.
