Administration Officer Newport Consulting Engineers location Brisbane.
Newport Consulting Engineers is a rapidly growing consultancy firm that specialises in providing structural engineering design for residential, commercial and industrial projects. We are seeking an administration officer to work with our engineers, drafters and administration staff to primarily provide administrative support for delivery of our swimming pool projects. You will also have the ability to learn and perform administrative functions for our other teams.
This role would suit someone with a friendly, professional manner who enjoys using initiative and is looking to work in a friendly team where their contribution is appreciated. We are particularly looking for someone who is prepared to embrace our job management program, Total Synergy, and step up to take extra responsibilities.
Duties will include (but not limited to) answering telephone calls and liaising with clients. Performing the administrative and clerical functions of our Pools team and supporting other teams in the office. Maintain accurate records and data using our job management program. Developing and maintaining efficient administrative systems and processes and managing the delivery of all work allocated in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner.
Work to include preparation of new job files, taking bookings for site inspections, data entry as part of job establishment, titles and utilities searches, general typing, document collation and issuing, filing and invoicing.
While there will be on-the-job training for this role, the desired successful applicant will have professional, calm and friendly communication. Strong organisational skills and have demonstrated high level of attention to detail in previous roles. A proactive nature and enjoy problem solving.
Ability to multi-task and be pro-active in following up on jobs and experience in job management programs and the ability to understand numbers.
