Learning Support Assistant AGE School Limited location Auckland.

A new Learning Support Assistant position has become available at our School due to roll growth. We are an innovative independent school that is looking to reimagine education. Our small size and low pupil to teacher ratio means we can offer what other schools can't – truly personalised learning based on children's interests. Our learning model is designed to let children embrace who they truly are, rather than requiring them to fit the box of traditional education.

The role is based in our newly built school in Takapuna. The position is 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday (term time only). The successful applicant must be available between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm to work their contracted hours and be willing to work with a range of students. Students are aged from 5 to 15-years old.

Key Experience and skills experience working with young people, particularly those at a similar age range. An understanding of the New Zealand curriculum. An understanding of different learning methods and teaching styles. Ability to cater for students’ varying needs. Excellent relationship building and communication skills. Patience, resilience, adaptability and empathy. A full Drivers Licence is desirable.
