Pure Pac Ltd is an integrated packhouse and marketing cooperative based in Cromwell, Otago. We are committed to delivering the highest quality cherries to our export and domestic customers around the world. Managing the packing and marketing for 75ha of orchards in the Cromwell Basin we are one of the largest cherry packing and marketers in New Zealand operating a state of the art packhouse.

We are on the lookout for an Assistant Manager to join our team.  As our company continues to expand, we are looking to fulfill this important, full time role.  To make this role your own you will be required to show abilities in Accounting, Customer Relations, Compliance Management, Human Resources and be interested in assisting the Sales Manager when required.

This is a broad, diverse role that requires someone with a hands-on approach to all tasks.  You will be tech savvy with a good understanding of excel and the ability to learn our internal systems.  You will be required to assist the Corporate Services Manager with operational management over harvest and day to day administrative tasks outside of harvest.  An interest in marketing or online sales channels would also be an advantage.

As our cherry season is so condensed you must be available 7 days a week over the harvest period which runs from Mid-December - start of February, be prepared to work long days and not afraid of hard work.  Outside of harvest however, you can enjoy a much more relaxed environment that allows for more of a work-life balance all while enjoying the many benefits of living in beautiful Central Otago.

You will be a team player that enjoys working with others, as well as autonomously when required.  You will have a can-do attitude and be someone who inspires others with your drive, passion and energy.  You will be someone who strives to meets KPIs and has a desire for success.

Duties include assist with office accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, GST/PAYE knowledge. Overseeing timesheeting and payroll. Assist with development and adherence to budgets. Liaise with our logistics partners to arrange transport of our product both domestically and internationally.

Work with the Corporate Services Manager to ensure all compliance requirements are met for the different industry bodies, including H&S. Manage our systems and work on continual developments with our software partners. ssist with managing our HR policies and procedures. Liaising with company clients developing long term relationships when required. Assist with expansion of online sales strategy and channels. Able to lead the team during the busy harvest period.
