Administration Officer Department of Corrections location Hawkes Bay.

We are looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join our Community Corrections Area Office team based in Napier, where you will support the District Manager and the wider Community Corrections team across the East Coast District.  Travel may be required outside of the Hawkes Bay area.

About the role you will enjoy working collaboratively as one team in a challenging and fast paced environment, be able to multitask, remain adaptable, as well as follow and adhere to policies and procedures ensuring smooth, responsive administrative support across the district.

Core accountabilities in this role will include Co-ordinating non-financial data systems. Record management and ensuring correspondence, reports and other documentation meet Department timelines and standards. Provide administration support across a varied team by co-ordinating meetings, external stakeholder relationships, filing and minute taking.

Skills & experience the successful candidate will ideally have administrative experience at an advanced level. Excellent customer facing communication skills will be required to participate in Reception roster as required. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient knowledge and experience in computer software and database systems including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience is preferred in Visio and in creating dashboards. Strong accuracy and attention to detail. Resilience and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. The ability to organise effectively, multi-task and meet deadlines. You will need a full New Zealand driver licence for this role. The salary range for this role is $44,408 - $52,137 and progression is dependent of required competency levels. The work profile for this position is permanent, Monday to Friday, working a 40hr week. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, New Zealand Resident Permit holder, Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.
